Option 1 answers exactly the given brief. Having analysed this option we come to the conclusion that the available sites between the existing buildings are not really suitable for additional buildings.
Option 3 looks at the potential of the site in case of the demolition of some of the existing prefabs. With taking away two existing blocks a new site will be available and a new building at a higher depth and density can be built. The layout of the new blocks creates two larger open spaces, which can be used for people to meet each other, seating and a children play area.
Option 6 is based on the fact that the prefabs are coming to the end of their functional, technical and aesthetical life and examines their gradual replacement. In a first step it is suggested to utilize the main building in order to create new units. It is suggested to always decant two blocks at the same time so the new sites created are big enough to allow for a smooth site operation.
